Canon 28-135mm IS f/3.5-5.6

This is a great all purpose lens for any Canon digital cameras, and was my first Canon IS lens. It’s IQ (Image Quality) is exceptional so is it’s price. I wish I had it with me during the Napa visit, it would help a lot in the low light conditions at the Castello di Amorosa Winery. Unfortunately, it’s broken. I found out it doesn’t want to focus anymore, either manual or automatic. I remember it was accidentally dropped on the ground along with my camera by some drunk dude in Dylan’s wedding (you know who you are).

Fortunately, I have the extended protection plan PLUS from Circuit City, and it has been sent in for repair at no cost to me. Woohoo! I miss you, sweet lens!

Another wedded couple, Dylan & Hannah

Dylan and I go way back, I knew him since I was 8th grade. I just witnessed his best moments as the man of honor in the wedding. Pressure is on now, everyone is pushing me???

This is not a Photography post, because I wasn’t the photographer. Dude, I just took some shots for fun! And I might of drank a bit much than I should, I still remember I busted out my Michael Jackson moves. Is the awkward feeling normal? Man, I hate alcohols.

The unofficial opposite of mainstream

What is considered as “The opposite of mainstream”. What the hell does it mean? What the f*** am I talking about? Focus, I should shift the focus onto improving my skills and vision…

Wine tasting in Napa.

Yet, another fun weekend with my friends. I still consider it as a healthy weekend, though, alcohol was involved. Duh! And to that guy who flaked out, you know who you are! This is messed up!!!

Got legs? Missy does…

Switched to Canon

Canon 30DI’ve been using DSLR cameras for a number of years, never really got very serious about photography. Though, every time I see great photo(s) taken by someone else, I get very excited and wish I can have the skills like him/her. Well, I wasn’t born with a artistic mind, I don’t have creative ideas all the time. That’s why I’m in IT, not artistic creation.

I had a Nikon D70 for almost 3 years. Pretty much learned the basics of how camera works with it. Yes, just the basics… I’ve also been too cheap to buy good glasses (referred as lenses) every time. So, never really got too far with photography. Like I said, I’m in IT, not artistic creation.

I now switched to a Canon 30D, with the 28 – 135mm 3.5/5.6 IS glass. The reason for the new camera is… I don’t know. I’m really hoping to improve my photography skills and capture some great moments. I’ve been invited to a wedding this weekend, and the couple has given me the honor to be the photographer. This will be a great event for me to practice and get used to the new equipment!

Here I come! The adventure of Danny’s Photography continues…
